Welcome to LLI’s Debate Club!!!
Dear students, since two months ago members of the London Language Institute (LLI) Newspaper have created a space to plan, criticize, and express yourself about different topics through a debate format, which allows you to practice English speaking, persuasive language, and academic vocabulary. The Debate Club promotes critical thinking and encourages you to develop some skills that will help you to face some challenges at the University environment as public speaking and research. With this new Club you will practice all these skills and also enjoy expressing yourself in a friendly environment.
The Debate Club at LLI considers important to tackle controversial topics or conflicts, but also stimulates the creativity by developing proposals that not only criticize the conflict but also give solutions to this problem. Every Tuesday at 3:15 pm we will meet to discuss the topic and explain general rules. Since the Club is relatively new, we will discuss the schedules at the meetings, that way we can look for convenient hours for the participants. If you want to know more about this new experience, you can contact the administration office at LLI.
